Re: London S M

I'd wanted to go but never got the time to put everything together and make a trip down.

I'm now looking for a GTA or regional swapmeet that I can be a seller at.

Only one that I know of that has a committed date is Aurora but I've heard that their new location is a series of rooms rather than one large venue. Since it's scheduled for March, I've got some time to see what the site looks like and to make my decision.

Re: London S M

The Aurora Swap Meet will be held in 2 LARGE rooms. Not in several small rooms.

and its "Swap Meet" Bruce. Not Swapmeet.

Re: London S M

As Trevor mentioned, The Aurora Swap Meet will be bigger and better than previous years.

The new Venue is the Newmarket community centre. We have booked both full halls and each is larger than the old Aurora Legion hall (a good venue but we wanted something bigger).

While we are still in the planning stages, we are looking at 90+ tables for vendors and exhibitors. This year we will feature "All RC" not just planes and we invite vendors to bring it all....if it's radio controlled, on land, sea or air it's welcome. We are also planning a few special attractions but they will be announced later.

Watch for our full page ad in the next issue of MACC magazine and mark March 14th, 2010 on calendars. Also keep your eye on the events section of this forum.

Thumbs up Re: London S M

The London swapmeat was a great sunccess for me as a seller, much bettrer then last year! I don't think quite as many people but people with money to spend so cachiiiiiiing for me, , thanks to erveryone that dropped some coin at my tables.

I was a little worried that I mightsnot make back the tab;e rental fee, but that was not a problem.

Now I can buy at Aurora instead of sellng. I didn't get a chance to walk around at all today, I wasso busy. Good thing the Amsoil dealer was at the table accross from me!

Banner year in rmy opinion!

Re: London Swap Meet

Here is some pics from the event. This was first year helping run the event. When we first launched the web page there was alot of tables to fill ( 130 ) I'll have to admit " I wondered what i got myself into ". it was nice to put faces to some of the people that I talked to on the phone. Aside from the good vendor turnout and people through the door the LMAC club also made two very good contacts through the show that will help the club very much. Thanks to everyone that came out.

Wow Jim,

I must have been too busy too!! I didn't even see you there!!

Hifly, the Kitchener Flying Dutchmen are having a Swap Meet this winter (in January I Think) They were handing out flyers yesterday. Went last year, it was pretty good, should be bigger this year, I know I'll be there again!

Congratulations on your swap meet. Great photo's too.

I was dying to go but family obligations kept me at home this Sunday. No, I was not a happy camper but family comes first...

I guess I will have to get this winter's fix at the Aurora Swap Meet.

I hope I dont miss next years London Swap meet. I heard this years was great for bargain hunters
