New Angel

Hi an Merry Christmas everyone!

Just thought I'd Show n Tell.

I spent roughly 14 hours building and decorating to get to this point. Still requires radio installation and the wings strapped down.

Used 2-3/4" gutter pipe, 4mm coro, GWS foamy floats, and an OS .25. Well under $100.00 all told, and would have been cheaper if I used an OS .25FP.

I've changed my opinion towards SPAD's. I used to think they were a flying conglomerate of waste product. Now, I know they have an honorable and required place in the hobby. Speed and ease of constrution, and cost are major contributors. These things are cheaper and easier than ARF's.

Sometime around Christmas, I'll find out if I've built an Angel, or just another snow machine.

Hope you like it!

I've spent most of my money and time on model airplanes, mean women, and beer. All the rest was just a waste.

Re: New Angel

There is another very , very possitive side to youre story . If you crash this Angel into the ground , it doesn,t cost you $2000.00 ( and most likely more ).

I,m also on the same project as you are : it looks almost the same .

Now we can have some fun and not worry so much about the expenses , and parts are dirt cheap at the local hardwear .

Was very happy to read youre post

Re: New Angel

Looks really good. I've got some sheets of coro that need to be put to use. I really should get my A$$ in gear and do something worthwhile with it like you did.

Re: New Angel

I like the way it looks. You'll have to give us the flight/crash report later.

I keep having the same mechanical problem. I've got a loose nut on the transmitter!
