Love that turbine/ gearbox sound on startup and love that smell of kerosene ,though. Can't get any more scale than that.

Again , like the real one , lots of power. Later the next day after the initial test/ maiden flights done by Steve Bondar of Calgary ; I was up and a large Cub was up following me in formation and someone overheard that flyer make a comment that he was going to overtake me , thinking he was faster. Well , it didn't happen. Found out about the comments later.
The build is still in progress with more detailing to be done down the road.

There are about 6 or so turbine converted full size ,round tail beavers in North America . The conversions are done by a company in Minneapolis , Mn. From what I understand.

Thanks for the comment , Brian.
Very Very Nice, Thought there was something special about your plane

Love the great pictures but like the 2 to 3 minute flights better.

Thanks for the complements ,Hank...hope to get some more flying pictures at Princeton thus weekend. Taking
the Boomer Sprint and the T/beaver.

Too bad the Princeton Jet rally is on this same weekend as Lester's airfield open house this Sunday or I would bring it down on wheels. Will be at Princeton.
This time of Year being so close to the end of the season We have a lot of conflicting events, Princeton Jet Rally, I have an all British Car event on Saturday, Vintage Steam Tractor Pull 1/4 mile down the road from St Annes R/C AirForce Field Saturday & Sunday, and of course Lesters All Club invitational Fun Fly & BBQ on Sunday. With the Steam Tractors so close I will be back and forth between them and the BBQ.
Len You are welcome to bring whatever You have to fly at St Annes, We welcome any and all flying machines.
I agree with the safety of internal and external combustion engines being safer than lypo type power. Try and find a lost lypo powered toy airplane in the corn field a week be for the harvester ingests it. Can You say FIRE!!!!!

Re: Post your Aircraft Pic's Here

Hi Brian:
had a great time at Princeton with the guys. Weather was good Saturday but almost perfect on Sunday but had to start packing up Sunday at about 2pm.... Flew the Turbo beaver on wheels That I flew at Sushwap; on floats 2 weeks ago. Airborne in about 75 feet at 30 and a bit pounds weight. Pretty impressed although the previous owner built in about 3 degrees right and 3 degrees down thrust which appeared too much, so will drop that back to about +1 and +1.

Been trying to research if there ever has been a fire related with the Wren 44 Turbos and can't find any.

Re: Post your Aircraft Pic's Here

Good to hear that all went well Len, can't beat a good weather event. Thanks to Lesters ability to flip burgers and GREAT weather The St Annes R/C AirForce All Cub Invitational Fun Fly and BBQ was enjoyed by many attendees from most every club in the area. We received LOTS of compliments on the facility and a few more flyers joined the Club.
We have a full month of field development projects slated for October in preparation for winter flying, hopeful that the weather cooperates and We "Git Er Done".
