Re: any clubs in Hamilton area

The only Gas/Nitro/Fast Electric club for the Hamilton area is the Northern Lights Model Boat Club.

We have IMPBA ponds at Beamsville, Toronto, Waterford and Alliston.

Take a look at our Discussion Forum for more information as to where and when we are at the ponds. &

Ontario Re: any clubs in Hamilton area

I'm from Innerkip, close to Woodstock, in Oxford County. There are some good ponds in this area, but some do NOT like Nitro or Gas Boats. The local Southside Park in Woodstock has some sailing on Wednesday night, in the Summer. There is the big pond off Wellington RD. South of HW 401 in London, but that is a bit far too. I here the Bay area in Hamilton has some RC boats running, check it out. I'l try to find the map of the area. I have had Nitro and Gas Boats for many years, but few others in area, and lost interest. I am just getting into Electric Brushless 24-30".
I would also like to find a local RC boat club too. With the new batteries and brushless motor drive systems, I can see a trend to drift in the Electric RC Boat direction. Just like the RC airplane and helli field has filled up with Electric Powered equipment, because of price, no messy fuel, and starting problems, and the Hobby Industry seems to have launched a lot of new items too. Gas is nice for the bigger race boats, but the cost of nitro fuel is also causing the switch to Electric or Gas Power.
