I had three flights in Hespeler and then went up to Elora for two more flights with the Fergus club. Not a bad New Years when you get five flights in !!

Re: Jan 1st Flying

It was not bad for flying here today.

I went out to the field and got in three flights with my little electric FuntanaX.

It should be a good year if it keeps on like this.

Happy New Year, folks!
With lots of practice, you can make it look easy.

Re: Jan 1st Flying

The Kelowna Ogopogo R/C club celebrated the New Year with it's annual Chilli fest at field today. About 50 members turned up with about 12 fliers to enjoy President Kelly Grant's chilli, buns, coffee and dounuts. I found it interesting that there were more Electric powered models than Glow jobs this year! With th etemperature hovering near 0 C, and no wind it was a good day for flying.

Re: Jan 1st Flying

Well, I went to the field after work, about -14c but calm, sunny, perfect really. There were even a few deer over a fence across from me a ways, watching. Got the Decathlon set up, everything looking good...

No transmitter.

Packed up and went home, watching the sun get lower in the sky, knowing there was no chance to get home, grab it, and still have time to fly. Great start to the year!

Re: Jan 1st Flying

Happy New Year to all hardy folks who flew today. Four of us went out today in Uxbridge. Conditions were pretty good - around freezing, light breeze and a few flakes. Took the attached photo of the crew and the planes. All electrics so no problem getting them started.

Re: Jan 1st Flying

In -25* I took the Supercub out on floats. Flew one cell pack then packed it up and went to Timmies.

My wife to the picture from inside the warm truck..
