A few notes from a happy owner of one of these.
As I have indicated I have one of these in a GP Ultimate 160. This will be it's third season and it is just now getting broken in. They have two rings which take a bit to seat. I have probably five gallons through it now and have now switched to 100:1 Amsoil. WH recomended running non synthetic for break in. Running a Xoar 22X8 prop at the moment.
I never did use the supplied muffler as I discovered Brisson makes a Pits type for this very engine and that is what I have used from the start.
It has never once missed a beat and never quit in the air.
I chose this over some of the others because I don't like the carb sticking out the back and into the fuselage as on the others. The other reason is it has three bearings on the crank which I prefer, I like having a bearing out close to the prop. Just me...
I do have a carb mounting kit that was produced by Wild Hare which increases power. The big difference over stock are the reeds are V-shaped.
To be honest I am not sure I will install these as the thing goes vertical as fast as I would ever want it to.
IMHO A great value.
By the way the Paragon RC guys in Markham are great to deal with. I have some 1/4:32 type plugs for my Brison twin and was very happy with price and service.
