Re: Princeton Jets 2019 dates

It was quite an effort hauling a trailer all that distance (and expensive too!); but the gals and I had a great time and will be back.
Hopefully I can get that son of mine back out there too!

Re: Princeton Jets 2019 dates

Wanted to take a minute to THANK all who helped put on the event. Special Thanks to Jeremy Ferguson /LGM Graphix for sponsoring the T-Shirts and hauling up the Pig BBQ and roasting the pig. Also special thanks to Angus McDonald for sponsoring the T-Shirts and Dean Wichmann for the pig itself. Hearty bunch of people hung around in some cooooooLtd weather for a great meal together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary.

Also of note is we had four people at the event that were there 20 years ago at the start. Dean Wichman - the only remaining founder - Bart Ramsay whose contributions helping run the event for many years, Wayne Beasley and Jeremy.

Cheers

Paul

Re: Princeton Jets 2019 dates

Thanks again to Paul, Jeremy and Dean for organizing a great weekend and pig roast, a special thanks to Dean, Dean is one of the original fantastic four that brought Princeton to life 20 years ago, without his persistent dedication and new torch bearers like Paul this event could have fizzled away.

Although I’m a new comer to this event it’s clear that the west coast jet fliers are an amazing and dedicated bunch of guys. Regardless of the challenging weather it was well worth the drive to hang out with a great bunch of guys

See you all in Spring!

“Interesring” weekend to say the least! But a huge group of hardy souls stuck it out, and most of us got flights in!
Thanks to Paul, Jeremy, Rob, Dean, and Angus!!

Re: Princeton Jets 2019 dates

Someone emailed me and said they had heard the event was cancelled.

It’s still on - weather is looking better.

See everyone this week.

Re: Princeton Jets 2019 dates

I plan on doing three 90mm EDF conversions this fall. The first will be an Avios Mig 17 to be powered by the Xicoy 10 lb thrust X45. The second will be a Freewing Avanti 80 mm which will also be powered by the X45. The third will be the Freewing F22 with a single turbine offset. All the conversion kits are designed and sold by Henke T. in Sweden. I will have all three kits at Princeton in EDF form next week for those interested in the process. I may have an X45 as well..but we'll see. The goal is to have these airframe / turbine combinations short, grass field friendly.

See you soon
Dean
