The Armature coil on these is placed in a position to keep RPM in a certain zone for the desired load (nylon line). You need to bypass this ignition system with an aftermarket one to have a variable ignition timing to get the desirable RPM with a useable prop. As you will find out, with the current ignition timing, the engine will put out mediocre power within a governed maximum.
