So I’m on a mission to get a few Concept 30’s flying again.

First up is this brand spanking new Concept 32VR, its an ARF I bought from a fellow in Portugal just before Christmas. I just got it today. Mint! I am excited as I was when I got my DX kit from Tower Hobbies back in 92’ when I was home from college for my Christmas break.

I also bought a brand new Concept 30DX (also an ARF model which came with an OS .28 ) from a fellow in New Jersey and its on the way, should be here next week.

And I have a used Concept SE model coming hopefully from a fellow RCC member in Southern ON.

I’m still looking for a new or in excellent shape SX or SR model if I can find one.

I guess this is my midlife crisis, lol.

Very cool. I have just done a rebuild on a Heli-Baby to bring it to operational condition but will be using it for classroom training and demonstrations. I know the excitement you have as I had it the minute I saw mine in the classifieds. I'll be doing a thread on it but may wait as there might be the chance on an errant part being found. Have a great time building those.

I am always amazed by what can be found out there. Buying a NIB Concept has a low probability, let alone getting it from Portugal.

I have a new Kalt Enforcer as a hanger queen. Sold over 500 NIB parts to a guy in the UK. He is hoarding them now. lol. We all have our weaknesses. Now to rid myself of all my NIB OS 32 engines

When I got my Concept, I was in college in Kitchener, ON. All the guys in that area were flying Kalt machines as the local hobby shop was a dealer. I was the only one with a Concept and at the time wished I had gotten the newly released Enforcer ZR... but my Concept went on to treat me very well. I learned to hover, nose in, fly around, loop roll and stall turn and even some basic flips. I did my first autorotation successfully with the Concept 30!

I saw it on eBay, and after 4 or 5 days trying to tell myself it was a dumb idea for wanting an out of production, non supported machine.... I bought it

I have a couple of Concepts that I still have. An SE and an SR. I'm like you, Andrew, I haven't flown them in a while but I won't part with them as I love them dearly and still think I may have them flying again soon.

Back in the day I had a collection of both Concepts and Shuttles. I always enjoyed flying the concepts more and several years ago I liquidated my entire shuttle inventory but chose to keep the concepts.

I also have the fuselage kits for the Hughes 300, Huges 500 and the Jet Ranger

I'm looking forward to seeing yours get assembled and flown. Who knows, maybe that's the inspiration I'll need to get mine flying again

Just received a very nice Concept 30 SE from a fellow RCC member. I am so excited! I will be trying to get this one flying first. Still waiting for my NIB DX model (stuck at customs) as well.

And still on the hunt for an SX if I can find one.

That is very nice looking. I just ordered a Helobal muffler for my Heli-Baby and expect it next week or so if Customs feels so inclined, lol. Take car.
