Re: Gaui X3

What pinion and motor were you using on the 3S setup?
I have 3200 kv and 12 tooth, my maiden didn't go well so I have to get new main blades and am thinking maybe just 325 blades I had 360's but my flight was 1/100 of a second long and ruining the tips of the blades I now need replacements. New fbl unit and the gain was wrong, I use Futaba and the instructions must be for Spektrum, my bad for not trying it with tail blades alone first.

Hey Jimmy

Currently have the eflite 450h motor (3600kv)
12t pinion
Hobywing 50a
350mm blades
2200mah gens ace

I'm only getting around 3 min flight time just sport flying, mind you my lipos are getting kind of old...

Re: Gaui X3

Got a smoking deal on one of these kits a few months ago so decided to break open the box the other day & start the build since I have everything I need sitting here

Wanted to use these electronics for the OXY3, but who knows when I will have $400 to spend on that kit with motor.

Only thing missing was a pinion, so ordered the last 12T from RQ last night.

Going 6s,
Scorpion 2520-1880kv
YGE 40
MKS servos
Skookum clear
Zeal 350mm

Re: Gaui X3

Lower kv and amp draw hoping for 4 minutes, not a hard 3d flyer.

Re: Gaui X3

Where did you find the Scorpion in stock? I haven't been able to locate one.
