UAV Licence exam
I've been putting this off as it looks a little daunting for me.
For someone with no (technical) flying experience, and studying the available Information, how hard are these exams? What happens if you have an older UAV like a Phantom 3, or Inspire 1? Thanks. |

If you have studied give it a shot, I am sure you will pass. Wide variety of questions such as weather, flight theory, TC rules and safety. While doing the exam I used Goggle and the TC study guide, so really it is a open book exam.

Just scan the material and give it a shot. You have 90 mins and I did it 30, I never studied and got 79%. Pass is 65%

Like Max said. I wrote the basic, it was easy I thought, but I have been flying for many years. I wrote the advanced and it was hard, I took a course which was about 20 hours, I passed both. Be prepared if you write advanced.

Have a separate screen or laptop handy when you do the exam, you can load up all the reference material on your second screen and have Google handy. The basic test was a little tough for me, everyone gets a different mix of questions, it seemed like all of mine were for fixed wing real aircraft, however, I was done and passed in 55 minutes. I am contemplating the advanced... now that I am retired I have more time to study. Best of luck!

Don’t fret about the exam I took it online got an 83 after only reading the online text for about 15 minutes it wasn’t hard but that was just the basic exam now I gotta upgrade to the advanced one
