Brad,
Just checked in on this massive F-104 thread and wondered where the build thread and first flight stand?

Hey Bill, always good to see you on any of the forms. As for the F 104 after painting it the paint started to flake and peel off on some spot and I threw it in the corner (I was very angry and fell out of love with it. it still in the corner). Who knows what will happen to it at this point. Its a hobby and I do love to build and I work on something I like. I have the Mirce F-86 in primer (working on it now) and repairing a mig - 29 and started a A-10. All the best to you Bill and maybe we will bump into next year! maddoggie

Brad,
Better to 'walk away' temporarily from something than get so angry/disgusted that you toss it in the trash!
Hoping that 2022 will fully open our mutual borders and I can get up north to visit you all!
Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Border are open both ways…..since 30 Nov….. just before a sharp increase in case in Canada….again..

I do the same work on different projects at the same time…..until one is very close to be completed….that’s more interesting and give time to think without stopping…

Re: Mirce F-104 1/4 scale

Well I had to move this old girl to look for something and found myself looking at it while she was sitting on the bench. Next thing I knew it was in the shop having the paint remove and then the primer came out and now it back on the bench getting some panel lines. I guess I need some new ideas for a paint scheme I would like something sharp and maybe a one off ? Maddog

Re: Mirce F-104 1/4 scale

Have you seen the Golden Centennaire colour schemes, I think the Starfighter is make believe though.
And, then there is the 1960’s RCAF scheme, pretty bright and easy to see.
Both are fairly straight forward and if you quizz Callie Graphics, I’m guessing she could whip up the insignia for you.

Re: Mirce F-104 1/4 scale

Got some panel lines on and started with some rivets (Guessing around 5000, still adding ) I forgot now long it take to do, WOW. Hoping to finish up next week. Still have not decided on a paint scheme but had a few votes for the Red Indian one for Camo and a few for the tiger scheme. Need to figer it out soon. few pic, of the panel lines and rivets, if you can see them. maddog+
