Okay just looked a video of visionnaire, and wish I had got that looks like it flies great.
I also would like to see it on floats and if you have a video of it flying on floats like to see that as well. And what prop did you change too?
Thanks Joe

Re: PZ extra 300 float plane mod.

I used the Eflite floats for an Apprentice. The front part of the float gear fit right into the landing gear slot on the Visionnaire. For the back I glued a small piece of wood to the fuselage and screwed in the rear part of the float gear. The plane needed quite a bit of weight added to the floats to correct the CG and was slow to take off and almost impossible to barrel roll or loop. This year I changed the stock prop from a pitch of 4 to a pitch of 6 and what an improvement.

That looks good, if my extra doesn’t fly better with the new wings maybe will get a visionnaire and put the hobbyzone floats on it, if you ever get some flying video post it please.
Thanks

Re: PZ extra 300 float plane mod.

Well managed to get a little more done. Made a jig and used some brass tubing to cut a new hole in the wing for the tube.
I ended up picking the spot where the fiberglass support was, so had to remove the support,
Will need to replace that . Will find more stuff but looking promising.

Re: PZ extra 300 float plane mod.

Well a little bit more done. What’s great about foamy arf’s is the glue for any of the plastic is like a mild silicone, easy to remove parts , took the plastic wing holder’s off the stock wings and fitted them to the new ones. Wings are fitted , now just have to put the servos in , put the fiberglass support back in the bottom of the wing with a little with gorilla glue sand then can paint and put the decals on and done.
If I get a good mild day may try and get a flight with it. Just wondering how’s it going to fly.
