Randy,
I had hoped that the flyers planning to attend this event would respect the difficult decision that the Town of Tofield and our club had to make regarding this funfly.
Items of concern that came up during the discussions
1) The town of Tofield has cancelled all their civic events for the summer eg, July 1st fireworks, town parade,etc. Allowing this event to proceed would present bad optics for the town officials.
2) With the number of flyers showing interest and the spectators we get, the number could easily go over 100.
3) Several flyers from BC and Sask. were intending on coming. Unfortunately, even though there is no restriction on travel between the provinces, it is highly discouraged.

Please read my original post cancelling the event. Just because we are allowed to interact at a greater level does not mean we have to. At this time, those hosting this event are ultimately responsible for any outcomes. The risk is just not worth it.

This is a time where the needs of the many outweigh the needs of one.

I hope this answers everyone's questions.
