Rookie Project Help

Hi everyone! New to the forums, I want to build an electric RC car that will be controlled with an Arduino and a bluetooth controller for a school project. I've never built an RC car before, and i was wondering if anyone could help me out with the components that i would need, and where i could buy them in Ontario?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Rookie Project Help

You will need a chassis and wheels. This is called a "roller"

Then you need a motor and the correct gearing between the motor and the axle.

What "Components" are you looking for?

When my kids were younger, we took a "Cheapo" car chassis that they got from a toy store with those super crappy radios and servos, and modified it accept a modern motor/battery, steering servo and proper RC car radio. The car works great now.

Maybe you need to find a "cheap" radio control car chassis like what you get in a toy store and modify it to run on your arduino?
