Kudos to Keith Morrison and the team who make our MAAC magazine. The latest one has to be one of the best I’ve seen in years! Chock full of articles, great pictures and a fantastic selection of all the various disciplines modelers enjoy throughout the country. Keep up the good work and spread the news...

I guess that’s the sept/oct issue? Should be here tomorrow if you got yours today.

I’ve always liked the magazine, but it is getting better every year.

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

It's really well done!!
Now - all we have to do is get them to keep up on the MAAC website and post the new magazine. They still show the last edition.

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

Just a general observation on my part, but I didn't seen any renewal forms or mention of there being an incentive for early renewal. Of course, I gave it a quick skim and then checked my zone news and the President's message, then another skim for renewal information.

I'm guessing there are quite a few of us thinking along the same lines.

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

Hate to vent, but if MAAC wants to encourage people to sign up for the digital edition they need to get it up on the web site at the same time as the hard copy versions are being distributed. Considering the effort it takes to print and mail these I think we should be seeing the digital version simultaneously. Off my soapbox

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

If it wasn’t the contributors that take the trouble to mail in the info and pictures , Keith and associates wouldn’t have anything to work with . So thanks also go out to those people as well.
As for magazine hard copies of MAAC renewal forms ; I wonder just how many really use them any more as most renewals are done on line or through clubs. Waste of a page that can be better put to use for more magazine articles.
As for early enrolment , MAAC has been sending out crests ( in the past) And if you want to save a few bucks , buy the 3 year package ( in the past).

For those that have issues or suggestions ; send it the appropriate powers to be ,to see if it can be incorporated .

As for the new website it will take a while to iron all the crinkles out and if anyone has constructive suggestions then send it in to the appropriate department. Or is it easier to just bitch here than try to look up the contact to email to. If you can't find It then email Linda, as she will know. At least put some effort into it.

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

The magazine is a really nice source of info for us to see what is going on across the country , I always look forward to reading it. As for the early subscriber crests there is an announcement a few pages in about them. Read it as I will mess it up trying to explain it from memory.

Re: Latest MAAC mag looks great!

I'm another person who agrees that it's a big improvement with great photos. Lots of event coverage and the print quality is excellent. If we can get more contributors who take the time to send in a few photos along with some notes as to what went on, where, kind of day it was etc Keith will have better articles. More contributors gives a better variety of things to choose from keeping most venues available for others to see & learn about. Digital cameras are not that expensive these days nor are a few good air show worthy lenses but as always the burden is on us to get the ball rolling. If you want your event featured start with your club members to see who can do what to write, interview, photograph, edit etc & send the finished produce in to Keith. He's very good at final editing proposed articles & can make things look great in the magazine.
