Re: Warbirds over the bay

There are a few motels along Plains Road between King Rd. and Waterdown Road. I don't have any names or recommendations but they are close to the field. Looking at a Google Maps window should give you their names and links to their web sites or phone numbers. Also, you can do a search right in the opened Google Maps window for hotels/motels. There is also a string of hotels on the South Service Rd. between the Guelph Line and Walker's Line. Lots of time to investigate before the event.

Re: Warbirds over the bay

Hi Tim,

It's great that The Warbirds Over the Bay event is back from it's hiatus. I always loved attending it. I won't be able to this year since it has been scheduled for a different weekend than in the past. Warbirds was always scheduled for the following weekend' so The Niagara Region Model Flying Club Inc has always scheduled our charity event the week before. We always check the MAAC events as was done by me this year again, and thus avoid stepping on toes when ever possible.

Unfortunately the events will now conflict. This will work to the mutual disadvantage of both events. I recommend checking the maac scheduled events in future. Perhaps next year more "fellowship" and care can be taken when scheduling, so we can all visit each event.

Hoping for a better resulting schedule next year.

Cheers!
Carl C

Re: Warbirds over the bay

Hello Carl,

We certainly didn't intend on stepping on your toes for your Fun fly on the 13th. BRCM to my knowledge has never listed a fun fly externally MAAC or elsewhere.

Respectfully your event is listed as members and guests only on the 14th? Unavailable to other clubs so I don't see the conflict there?

It's a pretty busy calendar in the peak of flying season I'm certain to not please everyone.

Apologies.
