Help identifying plane

I'm putting together a list of estate items and I'm not sure what model this is.

Wingspan is 58"
Fuselage is 48" (tail to nose)

I was thinking it might be a Sig (Kougar or Kobra), but I'm not super familiar with these.

Re: Help identifying plane

I think it's more of a hybrid. The wing is certainly a from a Sig Kougar, but the fuselage is not. It's missing the plastic turtle deck, the rudder is different, the front of the plane is different and the tail is different.

looks like it'll fly really well though

Re: Help identifying plane

Looks more like some flavor of a Chaos.

Re: Help identifying plane

Thanks.

It's the fuselage I couldn't reconcile since the wing fits perfectly. I think you're right... Most likely modified during the repair process.

Re: Help identifying plane

I know you have a pending sale on that plane, I'm still looking at what it is, more so out of my own curiousity, but nothing about it is a Kougar. A Kogar is only a 50" wing and has a deeper chord. A King Kobra matches the span, but the ailerons are wrong, gear mounting is too wide and again the chord looks wrong. Is it a built up wing? If so, that rules it out completely as both the Kougar and King Kobra are foam.

Nothing about the fuselage is Sig at all. Still looks more like a Bridi design of some sort to me some flavor of Chaos (Total Chaos, Utter Chaos, Killer Chaos, etc), Dirty Birdy, etc.

Re: Help identifying plane

The more I look.. the more I think you're onto something with the Dirty Birdy.
And that is a built-up wing (at least partially sheeted)

I'll let the buyer know to make sure he's still interested.

Re: Help identifying plane

What we got here is a scaled-down version of Jim Kimbro's Deception I think.
Or maybe a scaled-down Dirty Birdy, hard to tell without a shot of the tail feathers.
