There is no way you can build that plane for $200! If it is straight and solid and not heavy it is well worth it.

Re: What do you think of this deal?

It is actually a Goldberg Anniversary Cub
Unfortunately, it is a bit on the heavy side any way it is built due to the wing structure.
Either way, it is still a good deal for $200

Re: What do you think of this deal?

If a Goldberg you have an easy conversion to floats as that one had a dedicated set with an extra fin for stability. I've built several float sets to add to different airframes and as with anything Goldberg, easy to construct, straight with interlocking parts and strong.

On anything that old check out if an Rx battery has been sitting there connected. If so seriously look at replacing at least the battery itself, as well as the power switch and extensions due to corrosion. Think of what happens to a battery left too long in a device.

Also, look at servo make and model.

Finally, even if retaining the current engine, would be worth it to go through the fuel system, replacing the clunk line and flushing the tank if discolored.

All of what I listed would only add a few dollars, but in many cases save your investment.
