Re: Wanted 2cylinder 4 stroke engine

Thanks for the reply. I am looking at building a large scale Cub but choice of scale will depend on the engine. 20-30 cc for quarter scale. 50 cc + for third scale. I do not know enough to be selective on make.

My engine of choice for a 1/4 scale Cub, hands down, would be an OS Max 1.60 twin. Great running engine and smooth as silk. 16 X 8 prop, on-board glow igniter from Crain Engineering.

Always pays to read some other threads... I've been looking for a on board glow igniter for a Saito 182TD that I'm putting in my cub. I like that multi cylinder driver. I don't need to light all 4 plugs, but with that one I can if I choose.

Even more reliable when you convert them to spark ignition.

Re: Wanted 2cylinder 4 stroke engine

Reliability wasn't my concern. I just don't want to mess with glow igniters on each side when I can just arm with a throttle setting and go.

Gasoline is a way to go, clean burning and cheap.
