There is one guy I know that can tune a Super Tigre and make it run perfect and that is Dennis Pratt from Windsor. Not sure of his user name on here, maybe he will chime in?

Re: Fixing G 90 midrange

The secret is to idle them fast and that makes it way easier to tune. I however can not idle the engine fast on this airframe so I changed the carb. I'm no expert, but I do not find it hard to tune a 2 stoke glow. Most of my engines run tip top. This one however was the exeption untill now.

You can pick whatever carb you want from the list. Buying a $45 carb to put on a $100 engine might seem stupid, but I was tired of dealing with it. It saved buying another 90 to replace it. I guess I could sell the ST carb to minimize my losses.

Re: Fixing G 90 midrange

I've used Perry carbs on many engines and they improved every one. Perry card with the Perry pump is awsome improvement for power. You can use a larger carb on a particular engine as you don't need to worry about fuel draw with the lower vacuum. The pump makes up for it.

Re: Fixing G 90 midrange

Sorry guys I have a new G-90 and it runs great, it's in a 120 size P-40 I turned the spray bar as told to and ran a gallon of fuel threw it "once" lossened up and the barrel adjusted properly it works awesome, if you try to adjust when the engine is not broke in properly it leans out and quits all the time with no proper midrange, wait and keep running "wfo" for 6 or 8 tanks, mine purrs like a kitten. I actually like it so much I have ordered a second for another warbird project for this winter. Fly with your pump for a few gallons and throw the carb back on you'll see.
