I Received a shipment from SDS in China last week, within 1 week of them shipping it.

I've had it quarantined in a van for 4 days but will probably still wipe down everything wile unpacking it.

Smart move ; both quarantine and wipe down. On the news this week , sone one in the know gave some times as to how long the virus can last and on what types of surfaces. Can last for up to a week ,depending on conditions and surface type. Don’t recall the specifics though but cold likely be googled , but go to a reliable site .

This may be the article you saw. There is good advice in here.
(Lots of adverts, too, but that does not take away from the substance of the article.)

Maximum I've heard is 72 hours on stainless steel, nothing up to a week.

Re: COVID-19 and shipping

Could be ,but there are varying medical opinions , as I mentioned, other conditions may affect it living longer as they get to understand what can kill it or make it survive as there was one medical report that came out end of Jan but changed their findings several weeks later . Countries and governments decision to do lockdowns earlier quite likely would have been better as too many delays, allowed it to spread. Try doing the math by starting at say the 1st day if a month , double the next day, the double that number the third day and so on for 30 days and see what you come up with. Millions ! Sure , hypothetical but shows just how quickly the numbers can climb.
Testing everyone and retesting was another option and quarantine those affected before the signs show. A small town in Italy ( think it was plus locked down early) of 3400 did that and their infection rate was way , way down.

Anyways, just my observations.

Re: COVID-19 and shipping

I placed an order from Hobby King a few days ago, all items coming from the Hong Kong warehouse, received the email confirming shipped early this morning. Seems commerce is still happening/functioning.

Re: COVID-19 and shipping

I ordered truck parts two weeks ago and one came from Japan by air. Three came from US. Fourth from US got to Mississauga a few days ago and has not moved.

As is typical anyway with CP, I suspect some may be just missed scans, and the package will show up soon.

Re: COVID-19 and shipping

Well looks likes I got burned. Went on live chat with Bg**d and was told no problem shipping everything was as per normal, So I put in an order, checked today after 6 days and still not shipped. So went on live chat again and asked " why has my order not shipped" Was told because of the Covid-19 orders were not being shipped. So I asked why was I told that " no problems orders are being shipped as normal" You are going to love this, " Why thank you can I help you place a new order" . I said no " are you going to ship my order or not?" There reply was " Why thank you can I help you place a new order" Did not take long for to see where this was going. Live and learn I guess.
