I purchased a engine GP123 from Jim Daly of Mississauga.
https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/sho...d.php?t=571517

I was told it was new in box, will that's not the case.
I never noticed that there was hole in the cylinder head.
I called Jim & explained & sent pics along telling him I wanted my money back.
Last week he told me his mom passed & if I could give him till Friday Nov 2, noproblem I waited.
He won't return my calls or deal with it.
JIM I WANT A REFUND

Also there was 1 plug missing & prop bolt.
Look At His Uploaded Pic Missing Sparkplug & Prop Bolt.
I've called & left messages, text now won't answer.
Then turned his phone off.

Jim why did you selling an engine that's defective?, But offering it as new!
I vote that Fred should get a full refund no questions asked and you worry about getting the engine repaired and reselling it yourself

Re: Jim Daly

Sometimes you need to revert to other measures, leaving messages & texting.
Sometimes that 1 min it takes to answer or return a call makes the world.
When he wanted me to come with my $1400.00 there was no problem answering text or the phone...
No. 1 Reason why it's posted.

Re: Jim Daly

Looks NIB to me but with a fault that is not easily seen?. I would have sold it NIB if I did not notice. Some stuff I get is put on a shelf and hardly looked at if at all and then could be sold. Based on his ratings and so on give him a few days. Not everyone stays by a computer when they are busy and things may not have gone completely as planned.

Re: Jim Daly

Jim has been on here a very long time. If his mom passed away I'd be patient. He asked to wait for November 2nd. That's today. With the passing of one's mother I can only imagine what he might be dealing with. With 100% positive feedback I cannot imagine at all that he is not going to refund you but geez, a little sympathy and understanding I would think could be had.
I'm disappointed to read this thread, and not with Jim. If we were a couple of weeks past November 2nd I'd understand your concern but you posted this before the day was even over.....

I would assume his mom hadn't passed yet when the deal was made and you were paying....

This is a 2 week deal, very simple to make a call or answer one.
I gave him time & if he needed more then he should have asked or dealt with.
Anyone else I would have not waited.
I've been fair & just want It rectified very simple. Too much time has passed.
He Knew I Just Wanted A Refund,

Text from Jim on Thursday.

Fred,
AMR are willing to replace the cylinder under warranty.

I can pick the engine up from you Friday or Sunday and ship it to them then return it to you once I receive it back.
Jim

Sorry Jim I ordered a DA120 on Tuesday

Fred trying to be helpful here and told you my situation and needed some time before I could deal with this. Flying season is over why would you go and order another engine? Thought Nolan and you loved your current one?

Jim a deal came up so I purchased it. After seeing this with a new GP engine I decided to go to DA. I'm going flying in the US & what does it have to do with flying season being over? You told me Friday to wait so I I've have.
What did you say about GP?
Quote from Jim: Ya that’s why I usually buy DA, 3w or ZDZ. I’m done with CHINT engines. LOL

Re: Jim Daly

Jim is not a dealer nor a retail store
He sold you an engine NIB for a loss. It is a private sale as many of us know it is once you do that it is yours
He sold it in confidence to you as it was With warranty

Stop spreading lies
Actually looking at that picture think you may have damaged it or swapped heads after purchase

It is warranty AMR said that they will take care of it
Send it in
