FBL system

Xmas was good for me. I got a used Trex 450 pro 3gx, missing the esc and the FBL system. But I did get a Tarot ZYX-s2 unit, Is this going to be a good system for someone just starting out. (kids said that I could return it)? Also any ideas on a lower priced esc?

Re: FBL system

i take it its a 3s system, also when you say "starting out" means you wont be doing any heavy flying so the zyx will work just fine for now. i would want to change it as your flying skills progress. you can buy a yep 40a esc which is cheap and good and ive had good luck with them.

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/yep-40a-...html?wrh_pdp=2

get the prog card too for easy programming:

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/yep-esc-...ming-card.html

free shipping too if you spend $50 US

Re: FBL system

Never ordered from Hobbyking, but have read lots about fees if you have it shipped from the USA. Unless they ship usps. Maybe have it shipped from there Global warehouse? Any idea how long it takes to come from there Global warehouse?

Re: FBL system

Shipped from the US it will come Fedex, a few weeks later they'll send you a letter to screw you over for the brokerage fees. Global center will come VIA the slow boat. I've waited as long as 2 months.

Re: FBL system

Personally I love mikado vbar and microbeast. You will get what you paid. If you want a cheap price and outstanding performance and functions, try opensource FC like APM and Pixhawk. I tried both of them on 500 size helicopters and works well. But they need very professional PID tunings (the default values usually works) and may spend much of your time.
