Well this weekend I had attended the annual london swap.. but before going I had told my wife.. " that's it ,, no more planes ,, I am not buying any more ".. well as it turned out I had spotted a couple that kinda took my interest.. and after hanging around to near the end this one was still there.. begging me to take her home.. well one thing to another and I walked out with another one.. Once home I quietly brought the plane in and set it down on top of the very large table saw I have and cracked open a cold one.. my wife comes into the shop and looks around.. commenting .. I see you got some covering .. anything else?? well not really I replied as she sat in a chair with this six foot edge 540 sitting behind her.. she says oh!! well I checked the back of the truck and didn't see anything.. all the time I am laughing inside.. after a few minutes I said well maybe you should look behind you.. how could you not see a six foot plane.. her reply.. " how do you expect me to notice one plane in here ???? "

hmmmm maybe something to be said for having a large fleet of aircraft..

Re: how do you know you have too many planes

Hmmm
Well has me wondering when I accidentally shut tx off before receiver and spitfire #2 ran 2ft across the shop floor and chewed through Corsairs foam wing like a cheese grator.
I' m revisiting the hobby and do enough damage when flying, I don't need dumbo moves like this!
So far she hasn't noticed two mkix spitfires, but I try to keep the in separate locations!

How do you know you have too many planes?

When your wife says you have too many, and it's either her or your hobby!

Ha! That's a great story. My wife once looked around in my shop and just before walking out said - if you were smart you'd at least make them all the same colour so I can't tell the new ones from the old.

Re: how do you know you have too many planes

Only way I know I got to many planes is that there is no more model memory in my dx7...so I need to get the dx 18, problem solved.

Re: how do you know you have too many planes

Re: how do you know you have too many planes

I figured I had too many planes when I had to start pileing them on top of each other. Now I've found that with a little creativity there is room everywhere to be found. I left a 35% plane in the living room when I went to camp to see how it would work. I didn't get in trouble. Going to try a smaller plane on the piano next time. Maybe a nitro in the bay window. Seams like I have found room for three more. Good thing. One more should be there when I get home from work. I guess what I am saying is there is no such thing as too many.

A DX7s or DX8 will do. Just have to transfer to the SD card then to PC. NO LIMIT
Anyway, you guys must be sniffing some good cyanoacrylate and it is doing some gray matter damage. Because there is no such thing as to many planes or to many helicopters
