Yes, ok, that is all correct but....
They both have brushless fuelpumps, brushless starters, one bus/electric connection, only one fuel connection, valves under the cover. And also both have restart option....
Seems the exact same to me. No difference.
Lightest weight per pounds of thrust is a relative selling point, what about the very big power turbines, they have much better numbers on paper.
what is the real factual difference, where is the difference in leading edge technology ?
I have two jetmunts turbines, very nice, I have one Swiwin , very nice...
Real difference, none. Slightly different look, insignificant..

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

For the record, I'm actually a Jetcat guy, why ...? THIS is the most important in turbines, reliability.
In my 20 years NEVER a flame out except once caused by FOD.
But they dropped the ball on the smaller turbines, so I had to look elsewhere.
Plenty of good small turbines, but if I have to choose between fancy cool OR reliability, it's an easy choice.
Having said that, the new Xicoys are really fantastic turbines.

DS16 And still use my trusty SD-10. Also use a DX7S for a few bind and fly.

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

Hans , yes for the most part ,today , you are correct but Jets Munt and Xicoy were the first to employ all these features when others followed suit . So then this is not leading edge then ?
Never said anything was wrong with other brands as they all have their weak/strong points including JM/Xicoy . All I was referring to , was advancement in technology and that completion was good for the consumer ......us.
Great video.
A plus with Swiwin is they don’t hold you hostage with what turbine oil to use.

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

Great points and great conversation guys!

As i'm now a Swiwin Tubine dealer I will be partial to the brand but with all the aircraft I build for others i'm happy to have the opportunity to play with, test and fly all these different brands of turbines!

That X45 Is mental! When I did the test for that turbine it is really crazy how small and beautiful it is! Great little turbine!

Thanks for watching!

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

You should start 3D printing the servo grommets. Something with reinforced material.

My comment above was specifically referring to the new Xicoy turbines.

The power density, residual thrust and technology do set them apart. The last turbine I purchased was a Xicoy and my next will be.

So Hans, wanna buy a couple of Jetcats?

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

Haha, Paul , you got me. : )
Wish Jetcat would update their smaller turbine segment though.
I have 3 Jetcat left, and only using 2, one is a first batch 120 from 2001, never left my side.
But my preferred jet size now is 80/100, so I will be getting a xicoy at some point for sure...

Re: SWIWIN Test Video

I'm confused, max thrust shows 13.5 lbs ? It's supposed to be 17.5..
