My yak is at least several flying seasons old. I remember taking one of Gastonís Yaks out of his trash can in his shop in Sudbury, fixing it up with some more carbon and glue and flying it for another season.

They are durable!

Re: Blue Foamie

Came across this thread and decided to ask if anyone would be interested in buying some Foamstar kits. I have 2 of the 23” Sbachs and a 29” one. Also have an Axis that has never even been opened to look at. I can post pics or put it in the for sale section.
We lost our indoor site and so that pretty much cancels my need to keep these .

Saw your email on this last post re: now-surplus foamies. I bequeathed my collection to my son, who re-bequeathed them to a newbie foamie-flying friend. In the course of time, regional interest here has waned somewhat, exacerbated by the current CV-19 issue, which has shut down our flying agreement with the local school board. it appears that, temporarily at least, foam flying has gone the way of stamp collecting. However, I can poll the faithful here for anyone interested in picking up your collection.
In the meantime, our guys here have gone to LARGE, gas-powered outdoor beasties, which we hope to get into the air where they belong, once the Emergency Restrictions are lifted.

Not sure who your beastie boys are but I absolutely know our gas burner crowd flies indoor foamies and nobody has given up on the next season or a nice calm evening in the backyard.
In tribute to Gaston I do not fly my Sbach, Axis and Arrow, they remain in flight hanging from my ceiling.
