Top flight p51 motor mounting Dle 55ra

hey guys i have a TF p51 1/5 scale and looking to mount a dle 55ra. How did you guys space motor far enough to clear the spinner on cowl thanks

I have the TF P-51D arc and a DLE 55RA too that I plan to start on this winter.
From your post I'm thinking the stock DLE stand off are too short.
If that is the case I will get longer stand off or put a spacer of some hard material between the firewall and the back of the stand off. I may use fender washers, phenloic board, or G-10.

How much do you thing the standoff needs to be pushed out.

ps: I was put on Monday with my other (8 year old) 1/5 TF P-51D, first time I've flown it this year and the TF P-51 is one good flying warbird.

yes they are the rubber vibration absorbers that are used for mounting the Great Planes Gasoline Engine Mount(GPMG2000).
