CARF Ultra Flash EVO

After the demise of my previous jet last month, I opted for something quick to build so I can enjoy the rest of our flying season. I also wanted something fast and near indestructible.

Enter: Ultra Flash EVO. This thing has been a pleasure to assemble so far. The fit and finish on everything is A1. Here are a few pics of where I'm at with it. The electronics tray on the EVO provides a lot of additional space to mount everything. I am pleased with how easily it all fits.

Everyone who has one seems to love it! I got the wings wired this morning. I may eventually try to find a suitable connector to house all of the wiring. A single plug would be nice. Does anyone have any recommendations? The MPX happened to be what I had laying around.

Re: CARF Ultra Flash EVO

Ashlok Connectors are my Favourite. 2 x 12 Pin connectors is all I have to do to put my wing on.

I like to buy the bare connectors and make up all my own leads but you can also buy nice pre wired ones.

Re: CARF Ultra Flash EVO

Colin,
Where did you buy it?
Do you think a J.C. Cheetah 140 would be too big for that plane?

I've got this one from intairco.... I had placed one order for the air trap and this connector...
I've seen guys flying this plane with a 160 size...
my one is a K100 and flies nice.... not too fast but that's how I like it.

I flew mine with a Kingtech 170. I have seen them fly with a 200. I've also seen them fly with a 70. It flies awesome regardless. I guess it all depends on how mild or wild you want it. I sold mine but if i were to do it again, I would go with a 200.

Thanks for the connector links. I'll do something similar over the winter. I've only had the wing on and off a few times and 4 plugs is already old lol. I got it from Ray in Maine. He's a CARF dealer/rep and was plesant to deal with.

I'm putting a 140 in it. Had I planned for this from the get go, I would throw a 180 at it. Without the bypass in the EVO, there's a lot of room. Mark's was awesome with the 170.

I've got it almost ready to go. Here are a few more pics.
