Epoxy and foam should not be a problem, In fact, use it quite often on ones like this Polaris Ultra. Only concern is aesthetics as sunlight tends to yellow most with exposure.
One thing I use to add body to the mix and to make it more sandable, (as well as stronger) is called FLOX, (Flocked Cotton) available from Aircraft Spruce: https://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalo...ckedcotton.php First time I encountered this was when helping build a Lancair 360 and was given the leftovers. Lasted me nearly 10 years and expect the new bag to go even longer. I also have something similar called Aerosil: https://www.aerosil.com/sites/lists/...-Silica-EN.pdf Only problem is cannot remember where I got it from.
