Here is some progress on the superstructure. I finished the anchor winch, painted most of the superstructure and worked on the stateroom. The furniture isn't quite to scale, 1:30 instead of 1:35. I added also a false ceiling with LED lights and the cut out for the skylight. In order to get easy access to the electronics I did split the state room from the main structure.

@CarlC, if I make a video it won't be before spring.

@cast-away
the kit represents a mix of the Schaarhörn the way she was designed in 1908 and the way she looked after the restoration. I am building the model, more or less, the way she looks today which requires some modifications. Some of the very heavy white metal parts have to be redesigned and made from lighter material (center of gravity). The inside of the state room is also not part of the kit. |The layout of the electronics is also my own.
