Jeff is asking for support, I'm sure he's seen enough discussion in the older threads. If not he just needs to go back and read them. Cheers Floyd
Who's to say too much is too much as long as it stays within the rules of the forum I don't think anyone should be censored or told they cannot express a point of view or an opinion. Some may feel extremely strong about what has been going on and as long as it stays civil they should have the right to express their opinion. Just as you Floyd have expressed your opinion that you've heard it all before maybe others have not.

Jeff to his credit is addressing other issues that are near and dear to many modelers hearts that have little to do with the Bronte clubs situation. That others will jump in and express an opinion is part and parcel of the whole.

Good luck Jeff its your right to run for any office within MAAC. All I can say is give it your best shot.

Dennis

Re: Upcoming Zone E election

All I'm saying is reading the same thing over and over just lengthens the thread. And like I said in the old posts we only here one side of the story, so I don't see the point in continually posting the same one sided information. Maybe the answer is a new insurance company for us to be able to join. Maybe a little competition would fix the politics of MAAC, that people are complaining about. Good luck Jeff, put a fork in me I'm done. Cheers Floyd

Re: Upcoming Zone E election

Well just to let you know.. I am here and reading.. and listening..

For those well wishers , I says thanks for your support.. god knows I will need all the help I can get.

I have a few ideas running around my head of how I would like to help improve this hobby.. one such idea is to have , say have and hour or two set aside at a funfly with a couple of club members to take visitors up for an introductory flight.. there is a fellow from Lockport.. a MRYEHR.. now that is someone who I could support.. someone who is willing to give his time to help bring new people into this hobby... take them up for one flight and get them hooked..

MAAC and the clubs need people like this.. people willing to give a small bit of time to further this hobby..

Lets face it.. the kids of today are way to content with staying inside and sitting on a computer ,, chatting or what ever they do..

From what I have heard.. but our vice-president of MAAC spends a lot of his time in this capacity.. of helping new people into this hobby..

So !! for Mr. Carl C... I hope I have answered your questions and resolved any doubts you may have.. if not.. I welcome your questions..

I am certain that there are a lot of people going..

" who the heck is this guy "

I welcome any questions from anyone.. I am here and I am not invisible..

If you would like to meet me.. tell me when and where.. If I am home the shop is always open to visitors.. just ask me how to get here..

Oh yea.. and the beer is usually cold..

Re: Upcoming Zone E election

I want to take a minute to thank all of the MAAC unpaid associates. They all work very hard for no pay and often neither any thanks as well, and sometimes worse. I've always been involved in my club's executive in some capacity and I easily spend 90% of my Hobby time for the club, So I know what it's like to stretch yourself so very thin and often get nothing back.
I can't even imagine bringing it to a Zone level... My Gawd~! I would have to just sell my fleet or just watch it fall to dust from disuse!

Cheers! To all our unpaid MAAC associates.

Re: Upcoming Zone E election

There is a much better way to go than mediation..

Vote for a new zone director..

go here and show your support for a better way..

You need to be registered in Zone E to vote..

In these times it would be great to use technology to host a meeting.
I'd even gladly host a live meeting from my company.

Ok... a little oversight on my part.. but some where in one of my many other posts.. I had mentioned that it was not yet clear yet how it would be done..

must have been a long day..

Or I am just being very optimistic about things..
