Heads up on servos
Ordered a bunch of Hitec 485 servos.(14 along with others)
4 out of 14 burned up. Servocity policy is send them to manufacturer so I did. No communication except I did receive 4 servos back with a tech note that the amp and motor were replaced on them They don't stink and the melted cases aren't melted anymore but they are not new servos either, so I have to admit I am not too impressed as what type of confidence do I now have in those 4 servos. I paid like $100 for them and $16 to ship them in. They were faulty from the first plugin and I now have used servos that cost 16% more than new. Not good service from Hitec in my opinion and Servocity should maybe have a conversation with their supplier. |

Re: Heads up on servos
All the Baja throttle servos I've burnt ar Hi Tec. A Futaba that has been sunk once lives on. IDK. In general purpose I find Spektrum flimsy, Hi Tec "coarse" and Futaba solid and tight running.
