Congratulations on your new radio. You are going to love it.
For expo, I believe it is the same as JR- set it to positive

Re: Radiomaster TX16s

Things are getting easier, or so it looks anyways without being in a plane. Did a practice set-up making dual/triple rates and adding expo. This was all done on the transmitter, and not in Companion. Just wanted to try it in case I needed to do something while out flying. I have watched a couple of videos that you had referenced me to, then stumbled across a gentleman that has his own channel. His name is Bill Clark. The reason I liked these slightly better is that he uses Companion first, then does it also on the transmitter too. But either way, both sets of videos are great for learning. Kinda wondering about my purchasing my DX6 last fall now and not getting into OpenTx earlier. But I do still like my DX6, just that I honestly may be finding it harder to program than the Radiomaster. The biggest thing now is to actually figure out what 'weight' and 'offset' really are, as well as LUA and why it is suggested to check the box of in setup. I think 'weight' is the percentage / degrees the surfaces move. But off to Dr.Google.

But now I did a test run and set up a 4 channel model with expo, dual, and triple rates in under 10 minutes. For my 4 channel or less flying, I now think I am ready! Key word is THINK....

Re: Radiomaster TX16s

That is great news. I will have to try and check out those videos from mr. Clark. Maybe post a link?

With regards to your aircraft, it always pays to be cautious. I checked and rechecked my first set up before having the confidence to fly my first plane on the new radio. After that adding a few more aircraft was a piece of cake.

Then my next challenge was to set up a helicopter. I used the same approach. Set up my first helicopter, only do the basics at first, testflight a few times, then dial it in. Once the confidence gets up, you feel better about programming the radio for newer models.

Re: Radiomaster TX16s

Sorry Max for not posting a link earlier. Here is a link for setting up dual rates. But from here I believe you can see his other videos.

Thanks for the link. I watched the video and you are right, I like that he shows both ways of programming on the computer and on the radio.
I bookmarked his home page
