Vintage Vehicles .... Who collects and has Em??
So Not much going on in the RC Car forum.. Well, thought I would throw it out there and see what Vintage RC vehicles members have .. I collect the vintage Tamiya ones from when I worked at a hobby shop in the early 1980's .. Here's 2 of mine ( I have 8 so far ) .. The Bruiser is all original except for the axels and the decals , the axels disintegrated and the body was sprayed purple by the original owner..
The Hilux is all original except for the decals , the body was painted metallic green. I opted for an orange and got it back to somewhat an 80's look... I am by no means a "restorer" like some of these guys on YouTube so mine aren't 100% stock, but Meh, i enjoy them.. These are runners ( not just shelf queens ), but i did put ESC's in instead of the old transistor speed controls, so they do get used once in awhile.. It would be great to see others Vintage cars ( not just Tamiya ) so we can all relive our youth and remembering the cars we always wanted to have back then..

I started getting back in to the hobby when I got an axial c10 crawler for Xmas. I dug out my Kyosho ultima from about 30 years ago and it ran pretty good. I’d like to rebuild it though with some updated parts. Not exactly sure what I should put in there though. Anyone have ideas?

Re: Vintage Vehicles .... Who collects and has Em??
From memory, a Hilux, Blazing Blazer, Bruiser old and new, Mountaineer,
original Blizzard, Kart 10 and a Vanning. A Dumas Chris Craft I built as a kid with O.S. FS 60 marine and nautical style radio. There are more around the house, I know for sure, but I know better than to ask where she put them... |
