E6000 Adhesive....
I picked up a tube of E6000 adhesive at the hardware store...might this be good for installing aileron horns into arf wings? Horns are fibreglass, and would be roughened as per instructions....from what I read or watch on you tube, it looks like it may do the trick...has anyone tried it?.....I have been using gorilla glue or epoxy...

Re: E6000 Adhesive....
I have used E 6000 seems like good stuff and stays flexible .
Just watch out as it will attack some foams |

Re: E6000 Adhesive....
Give it a test smear in an inconspicuous place to see what happens.
It is a very strong, rubbery glue. For control horns, I like using 5minute dollar store epoxy. First I slot the surface to allow the horn to be embedded in the middle. No screws or plates needed.

Re: E6000 Adhesive....
I checked the MSDS sheet and doesn’t appear to be Flammable but would test a little on any foam product (as suggested) you plan to use it on to make sure it us compatible. It is not good for the lungs so would use in a well ventilated area .
I use lepages 100 as similar dries quickly, is clear and foam compatible . |
