Re: Glow Head Brotherhood

I see Horizon Hobbies has decided to make the Saito .30 available to us again! I wonder what changed thier mind?

I love that little engine, power is pretty awesome for it's size and no harder to get along with than the bigger 4 strokes. I wonder if they will be carrying parts now, I have a .30GK that could use a ring...

Does anyone know if glow head/plug recycling is an option? I recall enya engines used to have a send 4 get one program. I think NV engines and maybe Merlin did as well at one point. The platinum element does have some value. I have a bundle and don't really want to toss them, not like they are endlessly available. I don't ever remember a hobbyshop collecting and sending in bulk as an option.

Maybe it's a silly question.

Re: Glow Head Brotherhood

Over 2 years now since the last post..... just seeing if a lot of you are still running nitro or gas or have gone electric.

For me, 25 of my fleet are still all nitro and I still enjoy them immensely, only have 3 electrics in my fleet and I haven't looked at them in over 3 years now.

Re: Glow Head Brotherhood

One electric, one gas and the rest glow. Love the smell of freshly burnt glow fuel in the morning.

I guess the glow are shrinking for a number of reasons and just the "old guys" hanging in there. Many have turned to gas and electric as the choices have improved since op beginning of 2015

Re: Glow Head Brotherhood

Still got my Super Tigre 25cc (2500 series) with BCM Pitts muffler I had in my Bud Nosen Citabria until I sold it. What a sweet combination and a perfect running combo. Just maybe some day.
Do have to say though that I prefer the smell of burning kero instead(TP) and no cleanup .
