I need some opinions on SCT's

So, pretty new to RC...had a nitro savage a couple years back but lets forget about that.

I'm looking to get a SCT for some general bashing but I also want some ability to go club level racing...I've narrowed my preferences down to 3 choices:

1) Losi Tenacity 1/10 Brushless 4x4 RTR

2) Associated 1/10 ProSC 4x4 Brushless RTR White/Blue

3) Because i'm a sucker for HPI, the Blitz Flux RTR

mostly leaning toward the Losi, just want to get some opinions as I could be far off...mostly watching youtube vids to figure this all out.

also, $500 is about max budget

Re: I need some opinions on SCT's

Of those three, I've seen more ProSC's around... but that may just be because the Tenacity is so new. For 4wd SCTs you see lots of Tekno SCT410's, Losi SCTE's and Traxxas Slashes at the track... but I understand your budget and preference to start with a RTR.

You can take anything to the track, and with a change of tires and practice be not-last in a club race . It may be better to decide on a basher vehicle first (because that may be 95% of your driving)... then take it to a track too to get a feel for things. You may decide you want a cheap/used 2wd buggy to start with club racing after you've watched others at the track and talked to some racers (and leave the SCT for bashing).

Right now you're looking for your 'next' RC car... not your 'last' one... so it doesn't have to be great at everything. Can't really make a horrible choice these days - good luck, and post a pic of whatever you choose!

the losi 22 rtr is a great truck - my son races it locally in St. Catharines.
