I am sure there are some flyers out there who use nitro fueled engines as their main source to fly their favorite birds.I am one of these people who likes the 2 stroke engine the reliability and no fuss running of the nitro engine.Engines are easy to maintain, and like they say there's nothing better than that smell of nitro in the morning.I have been using nitro engines for the past nineteen years and even though there are other avenues in which you can go, Nitro will be my #1 pick for years to come.

Re: Happy Nitro flyers let's hear from you!

for fuel powered ....

Don't get me wrong .... there is nothing wrong with electrics they have their advantages .... I just prefer knowing that when I put 20-30 oz. of fuel in the tank .... I can fly around till I want to land .... not because I have to .... Also, when I have a student in the air .... with a Kadet Senior / OS .75AX / 30oz tank / 4500Ma pack .... it's possible to let them have about an hour of stick time before having to set down and re-fuel ( the Rx power will last longer than the student ) ..... isn't that what it's all about anyway ....

Re: Happy Nitro flyers let's hear from you!

With close to 30 years of nitro fumes I still prefer it to electric. I have both, but for cost vs flight times stinkers still have an advantage over electrons.

I like them both but biased to nitro because of my "roots". I like other technologies though because the vast variety of our "toys" is so challenging it keeps me awake at night - smiling.

Nitro rules......25 minute flights, airborne again after a quick refuel and the smell!! I also fly a lot of twins. The Hangar 9 Twin Otter is my current fav. Nothing sounds better than a low, high speed pass with those Thunder Tiger 36's in perfect sync. Come on summer.....

Re: Happy Nitro flyers let's hear from you!

Yup, same here....love the smell and sound of nitros, both 2 and 4 strokes.

I have a few electrics for winter flying and that quick fix at the flying field, but I always head back to my nitros for pure fun and excitement.
