This is the only plane I have from when I just joined MAAC. Scratch built. Flies well enough. The 049 on it bit me well as a kid. Worst scar I have actually.

Wow seems like we all might be Brothers from another Mother! LOL

I was flying C/L Cox planes in a Graveyard by my house from about 1970 untill I started R/C.

Was a great place to fly. Empty part of the Cemetary where a road curved so had a nice 1/2 circle of pavement to land and tak off from. No one around complained about the noise!

I have several "Bites" from .049's. One scar is still prominent today but worse one was a direct hit on the center of my left index finger that went from the tip right down to the tip of the bone splitting the finger in half. Oouch.

I to did the Mouse Racing thing. There was a Race every other Sunday in the parking lot of the newly built Square One. It was quite extensive as there was also Slow Combat and Full On Combat going on as well.

OK Roger I concede! You are younger then me by one year as I was born in 1961 and you in 1962. See I told you I was lousy at telling peoples ages. LOL!

Andrew my Mom designed all the Flood Plain Mapping for Kirkland Lake expansion in the Mid 70's.

Well you both have me beat, I was born in 1970. Got my first Cox plane in 1977. One thing I remember was I used to run that thing all the time. Never had any issues running or setting it to run a full tank. As a 7 year old kid... and I have met so many modellers that are grown men, and cant seem to get one of these things running, lol.

I never did get to try racing, but I did learn how to fly CL decently well, do some inverted flying, inside and outside loops etc. But I wanted to try combat or racing so badly. Going to get back into CL this summer after several years hiatus.

I even have a few yellow models!
