Talking Princeton spring event.

For some reason I put a post on here this morning that was in a previous thread talking about Canadian events and now it vanished. I guess someone didn't like it. Anyways do any of you fellows, calling yourselves the Lower Mainlanders, know when the confirmed dates of the Princeton Spring Rally is, so I can book holidays and hotel rooms.

Thanks
Alan

Re: Princeton spring event.

Alan, I doubt that it was anything to do with not liking your post....RCC is having tech. issues from time to time right now...I noticed some other posts (not mine) went missing this morning as well.....ron

Re: Princeton spring event.

Hey Alan,

Yeah,,, we have a standard deal with the webmaster... He will now be deleting 97.8 of your posts on a regular basis.

Now onto serious matters.... Nope - nothing firm about the spring event yet. As you know, we usually go for the last weekend in May, but there's been some requests to move it into June. So far, we haven't had the opportunity top discuss it, so I can't advise you when to book.

Normally we deal with these things in February, but I'm sure that we can move it (the talk/decision) ahead for just for you. We know what you can be like when you just gotta know

Re: Princeton spring event.

I would really prefer last weekend in May, I suppose if for no other reason than I don't want to have to wait longer than that!!!!

Steve
I just don't know where all those comments come from about you being such a tough guy to deal with. I know I couldn't have started them all by myself. Anyways I don't want to hurray that crowd out there too much in Lotus land with the Olympics coming up and all. Steve you probably want to run and get your dance skating tickets soon. So when you have a chance, Steve let us know. Did you get your rear end moving on that big iron of yours yet? Leave Julie alone for awhile so you can get some work done okay.

Thanks Alan

Re: Princeton spring event.

Jeremy - I don't want to wait any longer either, but the US guys are asking for the first weekend in June because the last weekend in May is our Memorial Day holiday. Hope that works.

Re: Princeton spring event.

The next weekend after the US long weekend is June 4 to 6th.

From what I can see, no conflicts with any other events other than the Shuswap float fly. (Haven't seen too many turbine float planes yet.... )

So we've got:

May 21-23 Canadian Victoria Day

May 28-30 US Memorial Day

June 4-6 BC Shuswap Float Fly

June 11-13 Alberta - Stampede Fly-in

No matter which weekend we pick there's gonna be a conflict.

Personally, I'd rather see it so that as many out of town turbine pilots can make it and that means the June 4-6 weekend.

Re: Princeton spring event.

Thanks Paul for supporting our request. We usually have 5 to 7 US jet jocks come to Princeton, so we make up a good percentage of the total pilots. Hope the first weekend in June will work for everybody.

Actually Bob,,, you should be thanking me. I mentioned to Paul that if we went with the first weekend in June, you promised to buy him and I all the steaks and beer that we could eat/drink over the weekend.
