Re: 2017 RINGMASTER
Doug does a good job on his videos. I always have the air tube at the rear of the tank just ahead of the pickup tube. Maybe it is ok where he puts it at the front too. Probably doesn't matter. Then there is the chickenhopper tank. That one confuses me, although I made one and it worked good.

Re: 2017 RINGMASTER
You should check their website if you want to go to any contests or weekday flying dates. You are fairly close to Etobicoke. Bring Mike B.and Cory. I just go to the Dresden stuff now.

Re: 2017 RINGMASTER
The model flies quite well, just like I remember they did. The pilot however, still needs more training...!
P.S. After cleaning and a prop change, the Rigmaster was ready to go again. |

Re: 2017 RINGMASTER
Hey Paul, Great RM. Glad you haven't forgotten your roots. Is that wee beauty covered with polyspan? Really enjoying a couple ST.46 that came from your way. Thanks for the post.
Bill

Re: 2017 RINGMASTER
Hi Bill,
YES, the model is covered with Polyspan....but after the Polyspan is attached with dope & open bays NOT DOPED... The Polyspan is covered with SLC mylar (Super Light Covering) from Phil Cartier's " Corehouse". This allows for a final finish that looks like A LOT of coats of dope but actually has no coats of dope at all. It's much quicker than finishing with dope & more importantly, this composite covering is MUCH TOUGHER / STRONGER than doped Polyspan. No dope fillers required AND total weight is barely more than Polyspan & dope. Cheers, Paul p.s. This whole simple covering process is photo documented in the files section of the Alberta C/L Flying Club's Facebook website. |
