Giving a shot at birthing a second soaring club in Alberta. I have been gliding and slope flying in the city all summer, I need some company(and some instruction). If you like the idea of being part of a club dedicated to silent flight then join up. I would like to join with people in developing a club in the Edmonton area. What do you think?

Re: Edmonton Radio Control Soaring Society

Hi pipercub, I have been flying the local slope sites in the city and a few of the larger parks with a small glider and mini high start. Where do you go to fly? Any local slope sites?

Up Grande, no dought. Nice view over Victor, and Grande Cache lake. 20 min on Quad, ha-ha.
I've got my own Winch if anybody wants to come fly with me here in Camrose. Or Lorne's at Miquelon Lake.

Re: Edmonton Radio Control Soaring Society

The bowl on top of Kaw ridge works for most wind directions, and lots of Goats.
Hammel works but really rough shale.

Soft Batteries? You should be good for an 8hr Diamond pin flight up there! As a mater of fact I think I will go there for my 2 - 8Hr flights verse Quapelle Valley in Sask.
