This is a year 2006 version Tamiya RC car, model name is TamTech-Gear the Frog, uses chassis: GB-01, this chassis equipped with differential gear and adjustable slipper clutch. It is off road model but 2wd (rwd), and just for the information, at the same time, GB-03 is 4wd chassis.

The 27Mhz receiver is TRU-02, ESC (Electronic Speed Control ) is TEU102BK, servo is TSU-02, transmitter is TTU-03, motor is 370.
This one's chassis is still in a very good shape, just some scratches and a few crack on the body cover. The wheels turn very smoothly means the bearings are all good.
The battery pack (7.2v nickel–cadmium) is already dead and gone, as well the connector is cut and lost.
I'm starting from simply maintaining the wheels, checking missing parts.
I'm going to wire a battery pack with 14500 (x2) to see how it works again, also, it came with old fashion 27MHz AM radio control, and I will replace it with 2.4G digital receiver and transmitter too. New 2.4G receiver is TRU-08, transmitter is Tamiya TTU-08.
