Ben Buckle Falcon kit

Finally got my Ben Buckle Falcon kit. There was a screw up by some company named Aramex. Other than collecting $48 in duty not sure what part they played.

Can't wait to start construction.

The quality of the wood, machine cutting, packing, is outstanding. It will take a few days to get the folded plans to lay straight but can see why they aren't rolled.

Colin at Ben Buckle kits is great to deal with.

Cheers

Re: Ben Buckle Falcon kit

Hello Bill

I am thinking of a Saito 82 or 100 with CDI.

I have a thing for these old timers I am sure I will love relaxing flying the Falcon on a nice summer day.

All the best to you and yours this coming holiday season Bill.

Cheers

Richard

Re: Ben Buckle Falcon kit

Richard,

Congrats on the kit.

Never heard of Aramex.... but with a bit of google searching, multiple review services pan this courier; this review outfit has 94% of its 1,004 reviews submitted being "unsatisfactory".
https://ca.trustpilot.com/review/www.aramex.com

Let Ben Buckle know not to use Aramex.

Re: Ben Buckle Falcon kit

Thanks for the info Michael.

Very interesting reviews which I agree with. Terrible service.

This company which in my mind does nothing but collect the duty and hand the package off to Purolator. This used to be handled by the Canadian Post Office.

Re: Ben Buckle Falcon kit

Hi Bill

I got my big 7' X 4' drafting table put together yesterday. So now I have a table big enough to start the Falcon.

The plan on the table is a BUSA 1/3 scale Dr.1. I also need the table to build this on but the Falcon will be first.

Cheers Bill

Richard
