Yes I am sure it would be hard to tell it from the full scale at any distance. Looks and sounds full scale.

Re: Very nice little PT-17 Stearman Wow

I got that notice yesterday, as well, and thought it looked and sounded very nice and realistic, but also wondered, "Why stop there?".

I've watched that guy fly a lot of huge planes, I wonder where he keeps them.
I'm with Gary though, why not build a real one.

probably each time of one of these r/c biggies get built and publicized, a gov. bureaucrat is thinking that the aeromodelling hobby needs to be regulated more.

Re: Very nice little PT-17 Stearman Wow

Ok guys, the plane was built by Frans Tanghe from the Netherlands. The guy flying it is not Frans so you do not have to worry about him having space to store them. We do not have to worry about our governments getting involved with this big plane as it is being flown in the Netherlands. Enjoy it for what it is !

With a wingspan of 19.85 feet, his Kadet primary trainer biplane is 15 feet long and weighs 253 pounds and is built like a cross between a giant RC model and an ultralight experimental aircraft. It features heavy duty shock absorbing landing gear and is powered with a Valach Motors 800cc radial engine swings an impressive 48-inch propeller. Turning at 3,800 rpm it producing a whooping 45 horse power.
