The table is deeper where the 40% Sukhoi is sitting, I don't have the room for an island table, this is the next best chose . This room is 10' 6" wide.

Re: RC Workshop

In 2015 I suffered a fire in my shop and had to replace everything. For a bench I got one of these
http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S49022524/#
Not cheap, but it drops down to as low as 22 inches and elevates to 48 inches. Really love being able to work on the top or a wing of a model without having to reach up and over. Much easier on the back to be able to adjust the model to a height that it is comfortable to work on.

Re: RC Workshop

I use a cold storage room under the front steps to hang my planes. I used to have them hung nose down by the horizontal stabilizers but it wasn't good for the leading edges and I worried about the clunks folding over, so now they hang nose-up by the gear. It's a modular system using 2 x 4s with 1" holes every 2", and 1" dowels. I had to make an adapter for my only trike gear plane.

Most of my fleet is around 1/4 scale and I can hang 4-5 airplanes in there.

Re: RC Workshop

Space does not make you a good builder nor keep you organized. Ask me how I know. 700 sq ft heated under the attached garage and one of the garage stalls on the main level!!!

Re: RC Workshop

I build in what used to be my darkroom. The room is 8' X 6' empty. it has a 24" wide L shaped bench (on top of old kitchen cabinets. along 2 walls) with ceiling tiles on top of the 3/4 inch wooden top surface. I do have LOTS of light but for any major sanding I go out to my garage. I have a Scroll saw, Drill press & belt sander out there as well as everything I've used in the automotive business to restore Corvettes for the last 30 years. (I fired myself & am almost retired). I have a 2000 sq ft storage building to hang planes in. I assemble in a different room in the basement but even it isn't very roomy. My workbench is rarely tidy. Never been good at that side of building things.
