FMS Beaver Wiring What-the-Hecks

Hey guys,

So I have very eagerly been awaiting the arrival of my FMS V2 2000mm Beaver, and had it assembled within minutes of the box entering the house! I now have some questions for those who have the airplane or have experience with it.

The instructions on installing the receiver couldn’t be more vague. They have the obvious ELE, AIL, RUDD, FLAP and THRO wires marked, with nice long servo leads to connect the Rx, but there are two more servo wires tucked in underneath the foam that have no markings or labels. I suspect that one is for the lights, but what would the other one be for?

I’ve also heard people say that this airplane has a built in gyro, but again there is nothing on that in the instructions or anywhere online. See the attached battery bay photo.

Cheers all

I was looking at this plane the other day. I thought there was a multi connector board, but I could be wrong on that.
Was yours in the new red and white scheme? or the yellow and grey ?

I have did you leave or FMS beaver, and it is an awesome plane. I'm not sure what version I have, but mine certainly does not have any flight stabilisation. Don't know what those wires are for, but wouldn't hurt to hook up a Servo driver and see what happens when you input power.

Re: FMS Beaver Wiring What-the-Hecks

It's the V2 Red & White scheme. There is a circuit board hiding under there, and it's that board that runs the lights I've found out. The control surfaces and engine has all of their own long leads, but there are the two little leads tucked underneath that I'm curious about. See the attached photo
