It is even now more evident why there are conspiracy theories about slowly introducing us to news of our not being alone out in the void and other things. Seeing peoples reactions with hoarding are both humorous and frightening.

I mean really, TP?

Having said that, media platforms and global travel increase daily so spreading anything is much more difficult to control, especially if a carrier were showing no symptoms. Locking down a cruise ship with one or two cases is pretty much a guarantee it will multiply. Conditions could not be better there.

Not sure if true, but it also sounds like closing borders is already too little too late. If a fire has already started inside the barn that won't help much.

After having experienced 9/11 while working directly in aviation was well exposed to "Knee Jerk" reactions and their consequences. Searching and restricting flight crew with rules to prevent them "taking control of the aircraft" were ludicrous in the extreme.

Re: How to tell if the panic over Covid is real

Is anyone trying to create a cure? It would be nice to have a little good news for a change. All I hear are job losses and business's shutting down. The media sure can report the bad news. How about some good news with a cure. No one that I talk to knows if there is or anyone working on a cure. Lets hear some good news for a change. Sitting at home isn't going to stop the Covid 19. All that will do is slow it down. It will still be out there. Don't mask the problem. FIX IT!!!!

Just about every country is researching a vaccine. Human testing started last week in the states.

Re: How to tell if the panic over Covid is real

Thanks Mike. I guess I haven't heard it on the news yet. Nice to know someone is doing something to stop this. Now if we can get the country back to work we will stop another problem before it gets out of hand. Have a great summer.
