Me, too! Not enough room in the basement for a John-sized workshop, let alone adding a CNC foam cutting rig.

Looking at my "someday" projects and being brutal about cleaning them out. Then I go out and buy a Freewing Crusader and am now cleaning up everything to finish off the SAPAC Gripen, and trying really hard not to think of doing a 90mm Tutor.

Re: Designing 90 mm CT-114 Tutor

Did a bit of work on the Tutor this afternoon. Got the main hatch cut and sanded to size, it's pretty big. But, it needs to be so the fiberglass thrust tube will slide in.

Also, trimmed the trailing and leading edges of the wing panels to fit the fuselage saddle, a near perfect fit. However, it looks like a good portion of the wings top surface will need to be hollowed out to make clearance for the 90 mm EDF unit.

I weighed the foam parts so far and the airframe tips the scales at 15.6 oz's This does not include the yet made canopy and cockpit. These will be vacuformed so should be fairly light.

I'll need to make two moulds for the canopy and maybe three sectional moulds for the cockpit, which will be very basic.
